October 2012 – Mr. Angoli, President of REM Spa, and Mr. Dalle Rose, Business development Director, attended “Global Cleantech 100 Summit and Gala” and the “Italian Cleantech Roundtable” organized by the Italian Minister for the Environment Land and Sea in Washington, DC (USA)

Mr. Roberto Angoli, President of REM Spa,  and Mr. Donà Dalle Rose, Business Development Director, have been invited by the Italian Minister for the Environment Land and Sea to attended “Global Cleantech 100 Summit and Gala” in Washington, DC (USA), on October 1st and 2nd, 2012

 

The Global Cleantech 100 Summit has convened the industry’s top executives, business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs for a celebration gala unveiling the top 100 privately held Cleantech companies and a one day conference featuring the companies that will most likely have the most significant market impact over the next 5 years.

The Global Cleantech 100 is a list of the top 100 private companies in clean technology.  Nominated by the public and voted on by an expert panel, these companies represent the most innovative and promising ideas in cleantech.  From smart grid to water technologies, these companies will pave the way to increased energy efficiency, a reduction in use of the earth’s finite resources and more efficient businesses.

 

Mr. Angoli and Mr. Dalle Rose attended also the “Italian Cleantech Roundtable” held at the Italian Embassy in Washington, at the presence of the Italian Ministry for the Environment Land and Sea, Mr. Corrado Clini, of 24 senior executives from the major Italian companies operating in the cleantech industry and of 20 international investors and corporations. The Roundatble discussion provided an overview of the Italian cleantech industry and highlighted areas of opportunity for both investors and innovators in the years ahead.

 

November 2013 – REM Spa receives the 2012 Award for Sustainable Development promoted by the Sustainable Development Foundation and by Ecomondo - Rimini Trade Show, with the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic

Mr. Roberto Angoli, President of REM Spa, was awarded by President of the Sustainable Development Foundation and former Italian Minister of the Environment, Mr. Edo Ronchi, of the “2012 Award for Sustainable Development” in Rimini, on November 9th, 2012. Such award is devoted to enterprises and start-ups particularly active in the field of the green economy. REM Spa was selected among the top 10 companies in the Energy and Mobility industries.

Founded in 2008 by will of companies, business associations and sustainability experts, the Sustainable Development Foundation is a not for profit think-tank based in Rome aimed at encouraging the transition towards a green economy.

Chaired by Edo Ronchi, the former Italian Minister of the Environment (in charge from 1996 to 2000) who signed for Italy the Kyoto protocol in 1998, nowadays, the Foundation relies on a network of 100 associated green companies and more than 50 top level senior experts and young talents in the sustainable development field.

As a reference organization active in deepening and spreading knowledge on thematic areas such as climate change, renewable energy, resource efficiency, sustainability strategies and reporting, sustainable mobility, etc., the Foundation holds workshops, lectures, conferences and learning events open to public participation
